Hi This is so crazy to read all of this. I went off BC around the end of January. Since then i have had all the same syptoms you have had. light headed, BAD BAD back aches, Chest pain/ disconfort, numbness in arm. Heavey chest, And all the time i feel like my BP is high and my hearts beating fast. I have had Blood test, heart monitor for 24 hours, EKG, and all fine. I cant stop thinking about it and its running my life. I have had hormon problems in the past when switching BC I have a stage of hair loss about 12 months later. I just wana feel back to normal and I dont want to go back on BC. at this point I am trying to ride this out. Thank you for posting about this. Nice to feel like I am not alone. Oh and DOCTOR SAYS ITS Anxiety also. Please keep me posted and I will do the same.
i also forgot to mention, its hard for me to focus... ill be watching tv but dazing? and a lil memory loss also.
i also have the back ache straight across from where the chest aches but i think that could be acid reflux?
i have a appointment this coming friday to see a therapist....its just so hard for me to even concentrate on anything else cause im constantly feeling this way. i try go for a walk and i get shortness of breath. its ruining my life, relationship and interfering with me and my baby. i just want it to go away. ive tried meds but they seem to make the symptoms worse. i just want this spacey constant light headed and nausea feeling to go away so i can do and be like i was before
Hi
I read your post and it sounds so similar to me. I went of birth control and three days later I had multiple symptoms. I had horrible headaches, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness and tingling in left arm, fatigue, blurred vision in right eye. I have had ekgs, chest xray, blood work, echocardiogram, ct of chest, mri of head, neck and spine, etc. I have a thryoid problem and that has been closely monitored. I started to feel better about three months later, but now have had my ovaries removed and had another drop in estrogen. I say all of this because I am having some of the same symptoms again. I think mine is hormonal imbalances. I have seen a menopause special. who told me I have an estrogen withdrawal problem. However, my PCP keeps saying it is anxiety. I have been told you can have hormonal induced anxiety. I am six weeks post op and on hormone replace. I am still waiting to feel better. The biggest complaint is the chest tightness and shortness of breath all day long, and that makes it hard for to believe anxiety and continuing to look for answers, even though every dr. has said I dont have a heart problem. It is scary. Like the writer said before, find something to take your mind off of it. I def. get worse if I continue to think about. Now if I can just practice what I preach. :) good luck!
Yeah it can. It seems from my experience the more you focus on it the longer it sticks around. Try to do something to distract yourself. I know that can be easier said than done. Alot of people on here recommend talking to a therapist to learn how to cope with the symptoms or anxiety alot of people do meds and alot do both or neither and try to go the natural route with exercise, meditation or vitamins and herbal products. Everyone seems to have different opinions and different things seem to work for different people.I'm sure you'll get more suggestions and support. I am by no means an expert as I still have trouble coping myself somedays. Being a mother to 2 children itself can be very stressful make sure you try to take some time out for you. I also have trouble doing this but it seems to help when you can get a break.
it most likey is anxiety. but can the light head spacey feeling last all day everyday?
These are common symptoms of anxiety. I have had the heart palpitations and currently going through the skipped beats and chest tightness. I have also had the funny head feeling. You've had a pretty thorough exam. If the head ct scan comes back ok then it's probably anxiety.I'm yet to learn how to contol mine but just wanted to share with you that you're not alone in experiencing these symptoms as alot of us do. Try to take some deep relaxing breaths when you get the chest tightness that seems to help me a little. You also mentioned that you just had a child so you may be having some hormone stuff going on too and maybe this will just be a temporary thing for you. I have 3 children and went through a bit of anxiety and depression after each child but got back to normal until now. Just try to relax for now. Good luck!!
