Something I did for a while was house cleaning.  I worked in huuuuge mansions and the owners were barely ever home, so I pretty much had the entire beautiful house to myself.  I would dust, vaccum, etc...the usual. But I was busy enough to keep my mind off things, but also it doesnt involve talking or interacting with others...and I dont know about you, but for me, when things are clean it helps my anxiety...so being able to make a house neat and perfect and germ free helped.  I dont know where you live, but maybe look into somehting like that.

Hi (:
I have tried 4 different medications for my issues since i was 9, I have had therapy, I had to go to a hospital for attempted suicide because my anxiety has just gotten so bad i can't leave my house, after my brother passed away last year i can't even think about leaving my house. I also have, Depression, OCD, Eating disorder and of course Anxiety Disorder. I have tried everything possible. And i need to find a job because I want money but i can't be all panic at a job.

Hi.  I agree with nursegirl.  And I would like to add that maybe you would enjoy working with animals?  Kennels, vet facilities, and shelters are always looking for people to help. :)

Welcome!

What have you done to address your anxiety?  Have you tried therapy or medications.

Getting a job that requires little interaction with others may be okay for a brief time while you are trying to get the anxiety under control...but specifically avoiding situations that cause your anxiety only fuels the fire.  It leads to more avoidant behavior and more anxiety.

I would suggest seeking out some professional help to discuss treatment options.  At 17, you have your whole life ahead of you , and you don't want to limit your career goals and future aspirations based on anxiety.  If you can start managing the anxiety...you can do anything you want and you'll be much more fulfilled instead of just "getting by".

Let us know how you're doing!
