Lightheaded

r9c
Hi everyone,i was wondering do any one of you had this daily dizziness, lightheaded feeling even when one is not anxious at all? so far i went to see a cardiologist, did all those test which came back normal but he scheduled me for a tilt table test next week. This morning i had this very bad lightheaded feeling that i felt i am about to faint but never so far, thanks god for that.On the afternoon i had an appointment with my doctor about this dizziness, palpitations problem so he performed a standing BP,while i was siting BP was around 112/80 and while standing 122/80 and he said that looks okay,no sign of some postural blood pressure problem? all ECGs,Stresstest,Echo,24 hour holter were fine too,so he scheduled me for a neurologist but he dosent seems to think that its a brain problem or so but anxiety stress related.
I know anxiety disorder can cause all those dizziness symptoms all day long but when it happened most of the day i am just worried that something else is causing this not anxiety.

In my experience with health anxiety, symptoms can be persistant even when we think we are not anxious.  In my opinion, we can become so oversensitized to our bodily sensations that we feel EVERY little blip, pain, twinge, etc.  I also believe we can really tend to misinterpret normal everyday feelings and occurences as something catastrophic.  You did the right thing by going to get checked out and the good news is nothing is wrong with your heart.

Hi thanks for the replies guys, yeah so far i have been having this lightheaded thing for the past 5 months + and the only relief i get is by lying down on bed.Seen so many cardiologist and Medical doctor and they seems to have no idea to it but probably anxieties. So i was refer to a Neurologist on 24 june and thats a long whole month wait.
To Ilona 73 yeah motion sickness meds usually dont work for lighteaded type as they are more effective for those who have vertigo and so.how did ur tilt table test went? did they inject some meds to make u feel faint ? so wat did the doctor said after that test ? i have done standing blood pressure test where they asked me to sit down and took my BP and it was like 112/75 and when i stood up it was 120/80 so the doctor says i am okay. But i still think anxiety is causing this as i worried about this dizziness day in day out together with palpitations too.Just a bit nervous while waiting for the neurologist appointment.
Hope u guys get better soon :)

yes dizziness is part of it , i too had the tilt table test and epilepsy and heart and mri you name it ive had it, but nothing is wrong, i have fainted 3 times so now i am sooo scared that it will happen again that i dont go anywhere alone, the people i was with said it looked like i was having a seizure i even wet myself in the mall no less, i dont know if it was the medication i was on for anxiety that caused the fainting or what but i always feel lightheaded i just try to ignore it but its very hard , if you find anything that fixes it please let me know, i tried a med that was for motion sickness and it kind of worked but made me soo tired

I can concur with cj29. I've had the dizziness thing going on for a week. I was severely anxious with panic attacks and that explained the dizziness but the time when I don't feel anxious I still feel dizzy. During a panic attack it's a pass out kind of dizzy. If I'm not having a panic attack I feel like a vertigo dizzy. Maybe all that anxiety and panic attacks temporarily did something to my body so I continue to feel dizzy.

What is a tilt table test? I think I may need that as well. I feel dizzy too. I also have what they say is panic attacks, but I feel this way after my hearts feels weird. I don't know what else to do. I have have some test done at my cardiologist like the halter monitor, echo, ekg and blood work everything came back good. I do have an Av block which is actually common, but I still feel like they did not do enough testing. I hope the best for you. let me know what they say about that table test please.

I'm constantly dizzy I just assumed it was from being tired. Does anxiety bring on dizziness if so that would explain it!
