I'm also 58...........so take all the time you need to talk about what's going on. Next year, when we're both 59, we'll look back at the path we've both been on and be amazed at how far we've come.

Thanks, I have so much to say, and I am slowly asking. I'm fifty eight and I feel like a little kid just learning to live. It's alot harder than I thought. Thanks again!!!
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "after you get home and are fine." If you mean after you've managed to get through a horrid day without having a panic attack and then get hit with one when you're home in your "safe place," then the answer is a resounding YES!
It's very common. Think of it like those of us with migraine headaches. We can go through a day of incredible stress and pressue, which you would think would cause a migraine, but it's not until we get home and sit down with our feet up and a nice glass of wine in hand that our heads explode. It's when the stress and pressure stop that the dam breaks and I truly believe it's the same with anxiety. No doubt you are too busy at work to think about yourself, so you don't have time to panic. But get home where you do have that time to think about every little tweak and twinge and the anxiety begins to creep in. Learning to recognize the little signs and symptoms of the anxiety building up and doing something to stop it before it gets a hold on your head is one way to fight it. Get up and get busy, call a friend, watch a funny movie or read a good book, soak in a hot bath or go for a walk..........see if those work for you.
But the answer to your question is yes.
If you want to talk more about what you can, please post again. We have more suggestions and opinions than Carter has pills! LOL
But we can all relate to what you're saying so don't hesitate to post again!
