Natural remedies for Anxiety?

Anything to add to the following natural ways to help control anxiety?  I have heard from my PCP and a PHD (therapist), that exercise, eating a balanced diet, deep breathing, listening to music, etc. are best natural ways to help control anixiety symptoms. I have also tried teas and may look into yoga.
I have taken Atenolol,a blood pressure med, for years and a thyroid med (have thyroid cyst/hypothyroid issue and been under treatment for 3 years for that.). I worry about my thyroid condition alot and do not like the idea of being on meds for life. I take meds for acid reflux and also use generic Claritin for allergy symptoms.  I do not think my anxiety sympotms are bad enough to be on a daily med, but may have to look into that if symptoms return or get severe. I work full time and prefer to avoid taking any further meds.
I had one scary August spell that included severe dizziness that sent me to the ER.I had elevated blood pressure and pulse during this spell with my eyes very sensitive to light. Almost passed out.  After blood tests, CT scan on my head,, EKGs, and tests came back ok, there was no definite diagnosis by the ER dr. She refered me back to my PCP who I saw within the week. She did not have an exact answer either. It's been a month. I just fell extra tired and am trying to cope
Anything else to do?

I have hoshemotos disease which is a thyroid condition.  Thyroid stuff can cause anxiety. Teas have really helped me...particuarly chamomile becuase it helps ease anxiety. All the things you mentioned in your original post are very effective ways to naturally treat anxiety.

Also, rose-tinted sun glasses.  It may sound weird, but the color red supposedly helps ease anxiety.  So whenever I am feeling anxious, I put them on and everything looks awesome through rose-tinted glasses and it makes you feel calmer.
Therapy can also really help.  THey will give you techniques to help cope, and also work with you to get to the core of why you have anxiety and help build you up to be stronger and happier.  Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check out this book. I know that changing the way we think about a given stressful situation makes a big difference in how we feel and live our lives. The more positive we are the better off we feel. I always remind my husband that negative thinking does not work. I will not go into all the details now - but he survived a major layoff and unemployment almost 3 years ago and for a long time was csught up in negative ideas and is just now getting back on track.  It did take some serious positive thinking and making changes in the way he looked at work to get back to having income again.
Will let you know how this helps.

I can suggest a book called Self-Coaching by Joseph Luciani.  I read it in May and I couldn't put it down.  I do take medication however but it goes over natural ways to help yourself, i.e., be a self-coach.  You can look up the reviews on Amazon.
