Has anyone suggested that it might be interstitial cystitis? You should talk to your urologist about that possibility. IC is very hard to diagnose and doesn't always show up on standard tests. I would agree with the no sugar and caffeine suggestion; also limiting citrus and spicy foods often helps, as well. There are a lot of things that can cause IC to "flare", including anxiety, food, certain clothing, soaps, etc.
Leave your shaft alone from the hands as far as possible and reduce your sugar and caffeine intakes.Avoid visual stimulation. Lastly, Exercise.
Okay...here goes my college life way back when......
As part of my OCD thought process, I spent a good part of my college life looking for a bathroom. There may or may not be a trigger but for me I was 7 and peed my pants in a very public place. So having a predisposition to OCD, I keyed in on this horrific experience. I would literally go to the bathroom and walk out and feel like I had to immediately walk back in. I didn't really have to go but my mind was playing tricks on me. What I had to do was simply not go. I had to stop myself from going back into the bathroom. I had to take the irrational and throw it out the window. Then when I really would have to go, I would hold it for a while just to prove to myself that I wasn't going to pee my pants.
Do you have any other ruminating thoughts?
