I've seen several of your posts and I have to say that your experience mimics mine! I've been having a "bad day" today, heartburn with anxiety (the two often go hand in hand for me--the heartburn triggers anxiety because of my cardiophobia and then the anxiety makes the heartburn worse!!) Anyway, the purpose of me writing this is to tell you that your experience is a comfort to me! I believe all things happen for a reason and I'm seeing how my own experience allows me to help my neighbor's daughter, I just think we all are given what we're given for some reason and I'm grateful to have seen your posts. You have a hard fought wisdom!
welcome to cardiophobia!!! try not to take your pulse all the time it will only raise your anxiety as well as your pulse, as everyone has said a lot of people experience skipped beats including me! get a doc to check you out and hopefully ease your mind
Irregular heart beat is a symptom of anxiety.
I have emetophobia (fear of vomiting) and everyday I feel like I'm going to puke. That is because I have anxiety over it, and nausea is a symptom, and I make myself start to feel nauseous because I put myself into an anxiety attack.
I have these heart things all the time. But it is just the anxiety. If you are really worried and want reassurance, go to your doctor.
It is also very normal for your heart to beat faster when you breathe in, and slower when you breathe out.
Relax, calm down, you are okay!
you are not alone.. I think every hypochondriact worries about their heart... I know i do.. i will take my pulse several times a day, and it is always fast, but thats just because im checking it and waiting for it to skip beats or pound out of my chest... it sux but it is what it is... good luck and know you are not alone, there is always someone here to help you that has the same fears you do..
This is a classic symptom of anxiety. I spend many nights lying awake worrying about my heart and waiting for it to stop. I have also had my heart checked several times. They say there is nothing wrong, but I still worry. It's sux, but it's part of the anxiety! Good Luck to you!
Yes, you have a very irrational fear of heart disease. Just one of the many that those on here suffer from. I can tell you 1000 that there is nothing wrong with your heart...but you won't believe it until you get it checked. I suggest going to the doctor and get a full work-up to put your mind at ease. I know how hard it is to let go of these thoughts. Hang in there, try to keep yourself busy, and possibly you many need to see a therapist. Best to you.
