I am a 27 yr old female and I had dealt with anxiety issues for a long time, the last time I had a major episode was about a year or so ago. Since then I've had mini-episodes where a xanax usually helps to knock it out in a day or 2.
Here's my situation today:
Starting last Fri I woke up in the middle of the night very nauseous, dizzy, lightheaded, my whole body was shaking. I didn't vomit. I took a swig of Pepto and sat on the couch and eventually calmed down. Tried to sleep but my body just kept trembling so I barely got any sleep. Sat during the day I was ok for the most part, still a bit nauseous and a bit jittery but took a xanax and thought I'd be fine. Come Sat night, could barely sleep again, had to take another xanax just to pass out for 6 hours and wake up with the jitters. Sun was better than Sat, really thought I was feeling better (and the typical time for me to "get over" an attack like this is 2 days) - but come Sun night I could barely sleep again, my whole body kept trembling. Had to work Mon, left early to go to dinner at my bf's parents house, could barely eat because I barely ate all day was just nervous, felt jittery while there but toughed it out until I came home. Went to my mother's house and cried for an hour about how I didn't know what was wrong with me. Tues was a bit better, still had some stomach issues because I really hadn't eaten much and didn't feel like eating and Tues night I actually was able to sleep 8+hours (if I did wake up to pee, I was able to fall right back asleep) - it was great and I thought that was it but yesterday was bad, I went to my Primary yesterday who tried giving me a prescription for Paxil which I refuse to take because I know so many people who've had bad experiences with it. Besides I didn't want something that was going to help me 6 weeks from now, I needed something that was going to help me NOW. A few years back when I had a major episode they had given me Klonopin which seemed to work and weened me off in about a month and I was doing ok. So anyways, now it's Thurs and I had the trembles again last night, felt like I was going crazy, called a 24hr nurse helpline who told me to go to the ER, they could give me something stronger than Xanax, and check me out for other possibilities. I didn't go to the ER, I called my Primary this morning and am waiting on a call-back from her. I took today and tomorrow off of work so I'm hoping just being home and relaxing will help.
Also, my breasts are EXTREMELY sore and it is almost that time of the month but they've never been this sore before so I'm wondering if all this trembling is causing this. Although, most of the trembles are in my legs.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thank You!
