New to the site and having some bad panic attacks lately

Ok I'll begin like this, I've have panic attack since the age 16 and never got help for it only sent to the hospital a few times. I recently stop going to my psych due to the fact that this doctor does not do his job and I'm on a med called xanax but I'm out of them and trying to find a new psych but no luck so I'm looking for a primary care doctor cause it's going to take a month for me to see a psych and get a refill on my medication. What I worried about is withdrawals from it. My heart pounds fast every night just when I'm about to go to bed. Early today i have had a attack but tried my best to keep calm and I did but this is what happen at dinner me and my wife ordered a pizza with pepsi and I ate and I was drinking the pepsi and about an half an hour to an hour later my heart was pounding really fast and felt my throat closing up but was hearing my heart beat in my ears and sweating mad bad, so my wife knows when I'm having a attack ,so she told me to relax and try to keep calm but I couldn't cause it felt like my heart was bursting out of my chest like from the movie alien bro. My wife than give me 2 xanax 0.25s to take at once so I could relax.i just feel like reality in my mind is slipping and losing my mind ???

I've tried contacting my psychiatrist but he doesn't care and the primary care doctor can prescribe my med but also refer me to a psychiatrist as well which I'm doing cause my shrink is a deadend, only thinking about the dollars.

Well I don't think you are losing your mind.  You have a health problem .  I am sure Paxiled is right and you need to see a doctor about medication.  Withdrawals can be very bad, as you have found out unfortunately.

Please get help.

You should never abruptly quit a benzo if you've been taking it regularly -- the withdrawal can be fierce.  You should contact your old shrink and get a refill and wait to quit until you have a new psychiatrist who knows how to slowly and safely taper you off this med if you intend to quit it.  Primary docs are often not very good at this, as they treat a little of everything but not a lot of anything.  What you're suffering is probably a combination of your original condition and benzo withdrawal.  And have you ever in all this time tried a therapist who specializes in anxiety?
