You need to see a psychiatrist so he can prescribe medication to control your OCD and refer you to the proper therapist. Therapy helps a lot with this, but it can be a lengthy process and you need help now! I know you can't help yourself but your boyfriend is right. This is and will affect your children, and they don't deserve this. They need to be hugged and kissed, even after a long dirty day of playing outside. Germ help to build up our immune systems, and keep them strong. To try and live germ free is setting yourself up for health issues and your children. There is such a thing as being too clean. But none of this is your fault and with some help you can get your life back. Make an appt. right away so your children can live a normal life, and you and your boyfriend can remain close. I wish you all the best and take care.

Need some advise!!!
I think your last question/sentence hits the nail right on the head; going to see a therapist about this is the best course of action in my opinion. The best piece of advice I can give you, in my experience with this, is going to talk therapy...learning about this pattern of thinking is very condusive to dealing with this and confronting it. Keep us posted!
