help me out guys

I suffer from panic attacks every once in awhile.. lately I have had horrible chest pain, and numbness in my arms, legs, feet. Alot of pain in my armpits and ALOTT of pain in my left arm.

The pain in my chest is alot on the left, but it will move to the middle, and right.

When Im having this pain, I am calm, just maybe sitting and watching tv.
I have xanex for emerengys if a attack sneeks up on me, I will take one but even then
the pain will not go away, only the attack.

I went to the ER, and of course they dont care, and said it was panic attacks. Even tho I was perfectly calm.
I have had 3 ekgs done, all were normal.
I then got a upper gi series, and that was normal, but he said my gallbladder produces ALOT of bile.. whatever that means.

Then I went a step ferther and had a stress test, and they said that was fine.
Then a echo. It was fine.

The thing to remember is my chest did not hurt during any of these tests. Not even the EKGS.

I dont understand how this can be anzeity related when im calm during my pain, please someone help me out.

BTW I am 21, and weigh like 129pounds.

Hiya, I would suggest asking the cardiologist to hook u up to a 48hr heart holtor monitoring device, it will trace ur heart for 48hrs straight without gaps and will give a better understanding if there is anything going on. -n the meantime I would also suggest looking for a therapist to help with the panic attacks u do get.  Good luck x

Anxiety disorder produces the symptoms you describe.  Keep in mind that what you normally relate to as 'anxiety' may be entirely different then what you ae experiencing now. You are not consciously or unconsciously making these pains up in your mind, they are your body's reaction to stress and anxiety.  Science believes there may be chemical changes that take place in the mind and certainly these can and do effect your thoughts, but they also effect your entire nervous system which inturn impact your body in any variety of ways.
If your nervous system is 'out of wack', rest assured you body is going to let you know in one way or another and what you think or don't think may have little impact on it.   That being said, the psychological impact of anxiety disorder is always hard.  It can drive your thought process into a downhill spiral that only makes your situation much worse.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that Anxiety disorder is poorly named.  It's like thinking that all virus are the same.  Well they are not.  You can have the cold virus or you can have the aids virus, entirely 2 different things.   So if you have the aids virus you go to someone skilled in treating it.  So to if you have anxiety disorder go to someone skilled in treating it.
Make an appointment with a psychiatrist and take it from there.  Ask your current doctor to refer you to someone good!  Let us know how you make out.

Sorry that you are going through this.  Anxiety can be so crippling at times.  What you are experiencing is very common for anxiety sufferes.  We are always concerned that we are having a heart attack or stroke...Having said that you have had all those tests done and everything came back normal.  That should help to put your mind at ease.

I think that if you had anything major going on the tests would have detected it whether or not you had the pains during the tests.  I know exactly what you are going through because I experience the same thing and I also had a ton of tests done that came back normal.  I try and remember that when I am having a bad attack but sometimes I still find myself questioning things.

You just have to keep reminding yourself that you are fine.  I would also suggest that you speak with a therapist.  You are so young and you want to deal with this now so you can get on living your life.  A therapist can help you.  They can teach you coping skills and help figure out a treatment plan for you.

I hope you feel better soon...Keep us posted....
