PVC, shaking chills, anxiety?

I have had PVC before, but only isolated and only for a short time and then they would disappear for years.  Almost 3 months ago it started with not being able to sleep one night and my heart beating hard and PVC and shaking and could not get to sleep until 6 a.m.  since then I have had PVC almost daily.  I have had 3 EKG which 2 of them caught the PVC.  I had an echo, not sure of the results yet and wore a Xio patch for 14 days, don't have those results either yet.  My PCP thinks they are benign and caused by stress. these things are insane and they are driving me insane.  It is ruining my life.  If I take a lorazepam, it will eventually calm me a little but does not stop the PVC.  Does anyone have any advice on this situation?

My doctor said my heart fluttering is ok too but I hate it.  Especially at night when going to sleep. I have found that a banana a day keeps them away!  I am not kidding.  I think it is either the potassium or the magnesium that makes a difference.  If you read about irregular heart beats they can be because of low amounts of potassium.  Try it for a week and see if it helps.  I hope it does.

I would get potassium or magnesium levels checked first to make sure there is deficiency. Placebo effect can be strong, so if your levels were normal then the banana may be having no effect.
I only post as it has worked for me and it is so easy to try.  My heart pounds so hard at night I really don't think there could be anything, including wine, that could creat a placebo effect. No problem if you don't want to try it.  I just felt I wanted to put it out there for anyone that it might help. I am just guessing that it might be the potassium or magnesium but I really don't know what it is but the banana stops them.  As soon as I go 3 or 4 days without a banana they are back.  I have tried this over and over for the past 5 years but this happens again and again.  I can get away with 1/2 a banana once I eat a whole for a week.  I do this because of calories.  I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything I just know what these are like and if this tip can help anyone I thought it was worth posting.

I have PVCs everyday, all day and have had them for years.  They are alarming and anxiety producing but according to my cardiologist, harmless in a normal heart.  So you are doing the right thing in having them evaluated but chances are good everything is ok with your heart.  Stress definitely makes them much worse and more frequent, so you need to try not to dwell on them and stay busy so you don't notice them so much.  Sometimes a beta blocker will help, so if they are really bothersome that is something you might want to mention to your doctor if you think it might help.  It's scary when your heart is acting crazy and I have had instances where mine goes beserk and I will start shaking and my teeth will even chatter.  Just anxiety.  So the best thing you can do right now is to try to reduce your stress level, stay busy, take a walk, read..do something to get your mind off of it.
As to how stress can cause them, when you stress your body produces a bunch of stress hormones..  That can cause changes and blips in your heart rhythm.

It is a Zio patch and it is like a Holter monitor but you wear it for 14 days.  it just seems like the more I focus on these PVC, the worse they get.  how in the world can stress and anxiety cause these things?

Hi, sorry your going threw this, they are very scary but harmless, I am 55 and started having them in my early 20 , mine come and go to, at first I had a few a day , they would go away sometimes for a year or so, as I have gotten older when I do get them they want to stay for days, and can get to be everyothere heart beat, I not like,  but as always they tell me they are pacs and are nothing, harmless, won't kill me.

But not easy to deal with, I have anxiety from them, I try to control it and do good most of the time,

What is the patch, what does it do, never heard of that,   I have wore a heart monitor for 30 days many times and they always see my pacs,
Hope your doing better today God Bless You
