Pale During Panic Attack

My panic attacks start with the feeling of anxiety in your gut and quickly turn into the rush to your head where my heart beats so fast.  The one symptom I have that I am not sure is normal if that I get pale as a ghost.  Does this happen to anyone else?  Thanks.

Wow, I have exactly the same thing, and I too diagnosed myself.  My poor husband is my savour.  It usually happens in the night and wakes me up.  I just yell to him...its happening and he is there right away.  Over the years we have both come down to knowing a cold wet cloth, works well to bring me back.  Its like I am out of my body, and he says I go ghostly white.  I tell him I feel I am dying and to call 911.  Until reading what you wrote, I thought I was going crazy.  I also do not want to have myself feel I am calling wolf.  Its the most scariest thing.  Lasts about 10 minutes.

So I am just figuring out today after months of going to doctors that I am obviously having panic attacks!!  Not ONE doctor mentioned this to me even though I have a history of anxiety and depression and even on medication.  I have every single symptom.  Scared the crap out of my husband in the beginning i had the habit of getting up cause I felt sick and then falling over and ending up with many bumps and bruises now i just let my husband know its happenning and he keeps me from getting up.  I turn white as a ghost also.  It is the scariest thing in the world and i am now seeing that when i have a few social drinks that it seems to bring them on.  But until today did I finally realize what was really going on.  Too bad I had to diagnose myself and waste thousands of dollars on tests to find out that it was panic disorder all along.  And the doctors had no clue.  Good luck to you all.

I think Casper the ghost is jealous of me because I am whiter than him at times. Tend to class it as a good Irish milk bottle sun tan.

I think its normale to turn pale turning a severe anxiety attack.  I've been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks for about eight years now.  And when I do have a bad one i hyperventilate(spelling).... my skin burns i get really pale-i mean white pale.  and when that happens go look in the mirror and your pupils will be very large.  Thats because the oxygen level in your body is real low.  So you have to calm down breathe really deep to get the oxygen back in your blood stream.  But don't worry, its a normal affect from the axiety.

Good Luck..
