You state that you have always been prone to anxiety........well, now you should also add hypochondria to your "life list!"
STAY OFF THE DAMN SYMPTOM SITES!
Pins and needle sensations are pretty classic side effects of anxiety, but you've now convinced yourself you have MS. What else have you diagnosed yourself with? Let's get the entire list out here so we can go through them one by one.
It's VERY good that you'll be seeing your doctor soon. I'd wait on the neuro consult until your doctor has a chance to run some tests. You're putting the cart before the horse.
Most of us are "petrified" that our doctors are going to give us "bad" news and that's a normal and common fear. But you have to convince yourself, and I know how hard it is, that it's far better to find out NOW when there is probably time to do something about it, than wait and be told "well, if you'd come in 6 months ago, we could have done something." Try to think of it in those terms.
Anxiety can feel like anything your mind wants it to, and if you read some posts on here, you may be astonished at the list of "symptoms" anxiety can produce.
If you were on Lexapro once and it really helped, but you went off it because you gained some weight, you seriously need to ask yourself which is more important to you........mental health or how you look in your bikini! Should be a no-brainer. There ARE meds out there that do not cause weight gain, your doctor will know which ones.
While you're at your doctors, you might want to discuss getting into some therapy. I think you would benefit greatly from it.
Peace
