Please Help, Severe post paxil withdraw

We have a very good friend saying with us, and since he went completely off of paxil several months ago, he is getting worse and worse.  We can't find a doctor that knows enough about some of the severe complications of severe post paxil withdraw.  He can't sleep, he is loosing weight because he can't eat.  He is irrational, can't work, has tremors, muscle and nerve pain, etc. etc.  Can you offer any help.  He is afraid to take any medications.  We don't know what to do.  Please, any help.

I feel so bad for your friend. You see I know exactly what he is going through. I have to disagree with snoozies. I does not take only two months for the withdral to symptoms go away specially if your friend cold turkey off paxil. It took me almost two years to wean off paxil and I still had some very bad withdrawl symptoms. If you want to help your friend they have to go back to taking the paxil and wean off slowly. Also do lots of research on this topic. The web site that was heaven sent to me was paxilprogress.org. Look it up. I am sure that it will be of great help to your friend.

Best wishes

His withdrawll is completely over if it has been 2 months.

It seems like you may need family or close friend intervention.

I cannot tell you what to do...but a suggestion to call the ER in your area for any ideas is helpful.. or get the local crisis hotline # from  411....in your area.

You are in a tough situation.

Best to you
