Schizophrenia or Anexiety?!

I'm a 14 angermangemented girl,
and I get regular sleep on most nights.
go to bed 10-11pm til 9am.
But since it's summer vacation I've been staying up later and sleeping later.
I'm talking... 2..3.4am - noon.
So,
I've had this occur in the past but not so vivid.
I can't sleep because I'm afraid that if I turn my lamp off something's going to come out of my closet and kill me. I can't even turn the tv on and the lamp off. I feel like my lamp is my only protection.
I have the biggest migrain right now, it's 3:05am and I haven't been getting the best sleep the past 4 days.
I keep hearing random pounding, footsteps, knocking, & moaning. (not sexually.)
Then on my wall, I heard something knock on it, Just as if it was the other side of it. like, not the space in the wall,
like the actuall board or w/e it is. (Everyone in my house is sleeping, mom & dad.) & My dog is sound asleep.
When I was in the kitchin I was eating I kept seeing things that I knew weren't there.
I thought i'd saw a snake, a bloodhound, and moving things. I feel like I'm clausterphobic because it looks like the
walls are caving in. I don't know.
I'm not one to be scared. Like, Legitly. I'm NEVER scared.
But after I realized I couldn't turn my lamp off,
I curled up in a ball and bawled my eyes out.
Now I'm freaking out of the smallest things. The smallest noises,
when my arms and legs will itch, whenever I hear a faded noise.
I'm so scared I could cry again.
Please, give me answers. Not ******** ones either. Please.

Oh, and for the record, my dad thought a faceless woman was trying to kill for 6 months while my mom was pregnant with me. He lost like 60 pounds and became sick for a little. He went to a phycologist and took medicine and it stopped and never came back.

I suffer from GAD. General Anxiety Disorder plus mental illnesses run in my family. My great grandmother was found in her living room talking to a dead cat she found out in the street and then she ended up in a nuthouse for 30 years. So yeah, you need to relax and TELL yourself there is nothing going on. Turn off the lamp, for real. You are going to panic and not sleep but after the couple nights of suffering with it off, you will realize you are safe.

I see sh*t. I literally see sh*t. I am your normal person that parties, goes to the beach, goes to school, works and I see sh*t. When people start talking to me I see green blobs floating behind them on the walls and then they suck into them and go through them. It's quite interesting. The more I freaked out about it, the more I saw them. Now, I still get them, but every now and then because I just treat them as my friends haha they are interesting little blobs LOL. I sound like a nut but thinking like that helped me relax and made them go away.

Good luck!

First off, I'm not a professional. Thats not my job to be one either. Go to your doctor and parents if you really want to know the psychological side of it.
But I can tell you other things.
First, whats your eating pattern? Do you dream often? and, What do you think these things are?
You said you knew they werent there. But it's scary to see that sort of thing non the less. Perhaps because you've been up so late its causing you to be paranoid and anxiety filled. This may cause your brain to create images and sounds that arent there. It's happened to me before, last summer. It was terrifying and i couldnt sleep in my own bed without someone else being in the room. I became less stressed that way, and eventually these sounds and images went away. I'm sure they will for you, too. But first relax, and make sure to get plenty of sleep. keep your dog in your room or ask your mom to sleep in the bed with you. It helps. Honestly.

It would depend on what your awareness of this at times that it occurs and afterwards and whether it impairs your judgment. Some of it has aspects of paranoia. Its hard to say. I do know that when I first acquired schizoaffective disorder (before I started treatment) that is what it was like but anxiety disorder when untreated can cause anxiety attacks that will can cause episodes that can appear like this as well. From my experience and from the experience of people I know with anxiety disorder that's what I can tell you but only a psychiatrist can provide a diagnosis and it would be worth speaking to one. Your family or if not a counselor could help make a referral and they could decide to do from there. Best to seek help than to self diagnose though but do tell any professional you see exactly what's going on.
