Powerfull heartbeat but no stress?

Powerfull heartbeat but no stress?

Hello,

I'm Jeroen .. And I'm 21 years old!
I lost my dad about 1 and a half years ago (died after a heart attack), I found him and tryed to save his live, but I couldnt! A few months later I was watching tv, and saw my stomach move on every heartbeat, I wasnt worried about it! But then I walked up the stairs and went to bed, when I was at my bed I saw my stomach move even harder on every heartbeat (ofcourse my heartbeat went up after walking up the stairs) so I had my first panic attack, because i was thinking I was gonna die on a heartattack aswell .. But I manager to calm down and felt in sleep! But the next day it was still there, my heartbeat was still in my stomach, so i had my next panic attack and went to the hospital .. But they said everything was fine, but I was thinking I was gonna die on a heartattack .. But the docter said everything was fine, and i had a panic attack .. He said i had a stress disorder because I found my dad .. And it was totally normal .. So I accepted it and went home! But I got some more panic attacks (feeling weird, stong and fast heartbeat, Some red dots in my face, Chest pain) .. So I went to the docter again and told him I could see my heartbeat in my stomach, so he did send me to the hospital for an Ultrasound, to check my aorta in my stomach, and ofcourse .. Everything was fine! Nothing to worry about is what they told me, because I dont smoke, and i do sport .. But I'm also overweight! So i asked why I could see my heartbeat everything in my CHEST and STOMACH .. He told me some people were able to see it, and some arnt .. So I accepted it and for a period i didnt think about it .. Yeah I did think about it, but I wasnt in panic or had any form of stress (If you ask me) .. I do sports .. Work out and play football (4 times a week) and i don't feel any chest pain when I do sports or something, my condition is good! But I do feel my heartbeat very well when i do sports .. I do also feel it when i don't do sports .. And I still can see my heartbeat in my stomach (very well) if i put my mobile phone on it it just jumps .. And my heart also skips a beat sometimes!

So my question is .. Could this still be the anxiety? Because I always was thinking when you don't have panic attacks anymore, and don't think about it anymore or worry .. It would go away! But now when I think oh let's check if i still can see my heartbeat .. It's steal there! I can still see it move in my stomach, and chest! When I do sports I can see it much better .. And it looks like my heart is gonna come out of my chest .. But I don't feel any chestpain or any others symptoms .. My heart is just beating very very strong (and as I said, I'm overweight) I don't smoke, but I drink some beers in the weekend .. And I don't have panic attacks anymore, but why is my heartbeat still very strong? Is it possible my anxiety is still there, without me knowing it?

Sorry for my bad English people .. I'm from Holland! So my English isn't that good ..
Thanks,

Jeroen!

it isn't uncommon for people with anxiety issues to focus on their heartbeat. as an example....i've probably thought FOR SURE that i was dying every different way imaginable. i've thought i had brain cancer, lung cancer, throat cancer, heart issues, skin cancer, syphillis (syphilis), tape worms....the list goes on and on and on. at the time i fear something, it seems like a very ligit fear to me....but when i write those fears out on here, i should have been dead a LONG time ago. but i'm still kicking and probably will be another 10 years from know...and probably with a much longer list. ha.

yes its all possible that its your anxiety, but to be on the safe side, have you gone to a cardiologist? maybe you should try to visit one so to rule out any possible heart disease.
if everything checks out, you're ok and its all in your mind, i wish you well, dont worry too much, i know easy said than done.. you are not alone, that's why we're all here, to find some answers, take care and God bless!

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your father passing away. I was 21 when my father died of a heart attack and i have gone through the same symptoms as you. Lately i was feeling the strong heartbeats in my neck and chest, last night i almost passed out so i went to the ER and the did an ecg and put me on an IV drip. After 2 bags of the drip my heart calmed down and i couldnt feel it beating as hard. I still have panic attacks and anxiety but i was also dehydrated. Since your very active make sure your drinking plenty of water. Not sure if it will help you but just some advise. Take care.
