Hi, I have suffered on and off with anxiety and depression for a little over 12 years now. Been on Busbar, Paxil, 5HTP, tons of vitamins, exercise and now presently on zoloft. I am 38 years old and this illness has taken some precious days away from me. A few things I have known to work and I hope this helps all of you....Have faith in your higher power (I am christian so I pray to God and my Saint Therese and the Blessed Mother daily), exercise exercise exercise. I sometimes feel like I am going to have a heart attack and go for a run to prove myself wrong, it works...deep breaths of fresh air...go for walks around the block. Push yourself, if your like me and have gotten numerous tests and all came back good...PUSH! PUSH! PUSH! take one day at a time and know there is so much to live for, the world is a beautiful place. Anxiety can play games with your mind and the mind is a very powerful part of us. Recently, I have had severe anxiety, I am on the east coast so the warmth of the sun seems to be limited this time of year. We all need someone in our life that understands us and have experienced anxiety and panic, it can be so frightening and mimics so many illnesses that can drive us crazy...talking to someone who knows this makes is much easier. You know most if not all of here on this forum are very healthy people, now we have to push through our inner self and start feeling it! :)
