Is This Really Anxiety???

My anxiety is in full flames but I am having things I never had before. Along with severe agitation where I feel like I am going to explode I am afraid of everthing.

I can look at a door knob and feel a neurological jolt to my brain. My wife can ask me a simple question like what to eat and I want to scream. A cup on the counter and I get a jolt - this is all day long now.

I cant even watch TV or listen to soft music as they both make my nervous system worse.

Never been this bad?

psychiatrist: Done that all they want to do is give drugs. Went that route 20 years ago during a bad spell - was worse than anxiety getting off

You've been looked at, tested, poked and prodded by just about every "ologist" out there. According to them and all your test results, you're as physically healthy as a horse.

As we often say here, everything else should be RULED OUT before a diagnosis of anxiety is RULED IN.
What's left is to have a chat with a psychiatrist.

I have workups from a neurologist and an endocrinologist. Total of 62 blood tests - 48 hour cortisol tests - adrenal challenge and all they found was that my blood glucose was a tiny bit above normal

The link below is to one of your recent posts. You have some pretty strong opinions about anxiety and disagree with much of what other posters write.
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Anxiety/Fear-or-Symptoms---HELP/show/1648794

In this newest post, you list a number of new symptoms that I have a difficult time relating to anxiety/panic, as they are very atypical of anxiety.

1) Severe agitation where you feel you're going to explode
2) You are afraid of EVERYTHING (My caps)
3) You look at a door knob and feel a "neurological" jolt in your brain
4) Your wife will ask a simple question and you want to scream
5) You see an object on the counter and that, too, gives you a "jolt"
6) You can't watch television or listen to music as both make your nervous system worse.

I suggest you see a neurologist for a complete work-up. You can argue with him/her about which came first, the anxiety or the cortisol.
Good luck
