SEROQUEL and MARIJUANA mixed.. dangerous?

okay... so ive been sober for about 17 days... till today for some STUPID reason i smoked maybe 5-6 hits out of a blunt... i felt REALLY high because i havnt done it in so long ( i was constant for about 3 years ) and the high is lasting FOREVER. also making me SUPER SUPER SUPER hungry ( not like regular munchies ) and making me feel so sleepy and my muscles feel so lazy... anyone ever had problems with these two mixed? i didnt pop the pill then smoke.. i take it usually at night around 12 and smoked in the morning around 11:00 a.m.. any chance of permanent damage to any body part? any comments would be appreciated

I wouldn’t. I mixed the two together and broke into a schizophrenic attack. The room was spinning, I saw things moving, I had no control over what I was saying or doing. I don’t remember most of what happened I blacked out, I remember feeling like my skin was on fire, I had an uncontrollable twitch with my head, I felt trapped, it felt like I was in the in between life of death and living. I felt like I was gonna die, and I couldn’t do anything about it. My symptoms lasted for 48 hours but 48 hours felt like 200 years. But it all goes away eventually, you just have to suffer for a long period of time. This wasn’t my first time smoking while on this medication so I thought I would be fine, I thought the side effects would never happen to me. But they did and it hit me like a truck.

This is a pretty old post, so probably nobody's still here.  But it's possible your reaction was just to the pot -- it can bring out of us what's buried inside.  Not saying it wasn't an interaction between the two, just saying it could be telling you that as long as whatever is inside you that makes you need to take Seroquel might also be telling you not to smoke pot.  It's great when it's great, but not when it's not.

i take 400 mg of seroquel every night, and im stoned pretty much 24/7. haha so youre fine, dont  worry :)

I've never heard of anyone dying from a mix of a prescription drug and weed. Never heard of anyone dying from weed either. Heard about 100,000 people die from prescription drugs whether single dose or combined but I imagine that mixing pills would be much more dangerous.

I don't know from experience because I neither take meds or recreational drugs. However I can't imagine mixing weed with ANY drug can be a very good idea. You might consider consulting your doctor on this.
