Doctors are suppose to "proof read" any dictations, and reports before it goes to the patient or in the patients file.  A "typo" is no excuse, it should go back to the person who typed the report into the computer, and the "typo" should be corrected.

A report or dictation should never be given to the patient before a doctor has read it.  Doctors are very busy and read tons of dictations and reports, and maybe the ? mark didn't catch his/her eye, but it sure looks like the right ovary was in question.

Bip,

At your next appointment point out this ? mark, tell them it concerned you, and why is it on your report?

I didn't pay no attention at the ? mark next to RT ovarie until you mentioned it.  This is really weird.  You'd think they can distinguish between the right and left ovary, but it sure looks like they have doubt its the ovary on the right side.  It doesn't look very professional to me but what do I know about their test result language :)

Your results are wonderful bip!  My gyno told me that cysts under 5 cm. mean nothing.  I have one also (larger than yours)..but she said no concern. tostressed is right.  FLUID means just a normal cyst that will probably pop on its own.  GOOD NEWS!

I am still doing a little freak out here and there.  I am trying my best to say my blood is fine and I am going to be fine. I have to call the doctor monday to make an appt. but I already got my appt with the hemotologist for Oct. 8th.  I want these blood questions resolved once and for all.  I will try my best to keep busy and think good thoughts.

free fluid means that it is not a mass, but fluid which means you had a regular cyst. I get cysts quite often, and fluid is good. You don't want it to be a hard mass.

Glad your son likes his school.

What the ultrasound said doesn't look like its of any concern, that is my opinion, but I am not a doctor, but if it was of concern you'd have been told to see the doctor again or see a surgeon.  Who gave you the results?  If you were at the doctor's office and your doctor gave you the results ASK QUESTIONS until you have a satisfied answer BEFORE you leave the doctor's office.  Don't worry how busy they are, its THEIR job to answer your questions.  If they run behind because of whatever reason that is not your fault.  If you show up on time for your appointments its their job to answer all your questions and concerns.
