Social anxiety disorder

I think I have social anxiety disorder.. what can I do? are there any medications for it that don't need a prescription?

My sister has social anxiety disorder and will not get help. She has been on medications and they helped, but can't afford to keep getting them so she goes off. She would be better off if she was on something. I would talk with your doctor and see what they have to say. Good luck to you.

My doctor had me try passion flower. That's an herb.  I can't say that it helped me any, but some people swear by them.

I've had social anxiety for almost 7 years now.  I have it severe, but if yours isn't that bad, talk to your doctor about Hydroxizine. It's prescription, but you only take it when you need it. It works for about 8 hours and doesn't seem to have any side effects.
