I am not sure...

I am 23 yrs old working woman. I heard about anxiety and also its attacks.. I feel I am having anxiety. I went through depression when i was in the college and slowly recovered. I get sudden attack but only when I am emotionally down and not when i am angry. But why is it so only when I am emotionally down? and please tell me if this is anxiety attack...When I am sad or whenever I have misunderstanding with my fiancee, my heart beat increases a lot, I can hear my own heart beat, I get very confused and my nerves seem to be contracting..I get severe pain (kind of burn) in my heart and I feel like killing myself and I sometimes hurt myself so as to calm down my mind. I also have insomnia and this is affecting my performance in the office, my career..pls help...

Everything that you have described are all symptoms of anxiety.. NOTHING MORE! you are perfectly normal! What you feel are just sensations due to anxiety. No one has ever been harmed by just sensations.

The more you think about anxiety, the more it'll affect you. I know these sensations are discomforting. I've been through it. They are just sensations. Whenever you have a panic attack say this to yourself  'I've been through this before, i know what it is, it cannot harm me and it'll just pass.' Disempower it and it'll subside. Trust me there is nothing wrong with you.

And remember, hurting yourself will not help. Stop doing that :)

wow, dont like the part where you hurt yourself, that is not good, have you talked to someone about this, have you seen your reg dr to be checked out,

yes anxiety can make your chest hurt and make your heart beat funny mine does that, and some say they think of killing self but i have never felt that way so cant help you in that part.

first you need see your dr tell them how you feel and go from there , you can get on meds to help but it will not go away unless you work at it going away. be stronge and see a dr .
