Strange feeling in my left arm

I am a 42 year old Mum who works as a Nursing assistant in our local hospital.
I spent the weekend worried that I was about to have a heart attack. I had a rapid heat rate, feelings too that my heart was skipping a beat, a strange feeling in my left arm. Worried.. to say I was worried was an under statment. On driving to work this morning these feeling got so bad that I took my self into the A&E department. I had 3 ECG'S and after laying there for over 3 hours and the results came back fine I felt better, much better. I was told to come home and rest for the rest of the day. Well what with christmas being so close and having so much to do I took myself out to get some pressents. I felt fine, then like a wave this feeling came over me again . Like a wave all over my body , like a feeling of panic although my chest felt fine I had this strange feeling like pins and needles in my left arm again, it made me feel quick sick. I am home again now and the feeling has gone again. What ever is going on with me? This is making me feel so horrid. Do you think it is another symptom of anxiety.

This definitely sounds like anxiety.  I have the same kinds of "heart" stuff that happens.  Once it starts it comes and goes for me.  I think it does that because we are more sensitized to those feelings at that time.  I find that the more I focus on it the longer it keeps up.

Just yesterday I was sitting on the couch reading a book, feeling fine, when all of a sudden I had the wave of adrenalin, heart racing, etc.  I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital.  It passed, but I had problems off and on all day after that.

It's good that you had it checked out, but I think it's anxiety.

Hope you have a better day!

Cindy
