I hope you are doing well. Im so anxious cause 3 days left until I go see my urlogy cant wait. Im not leaving his office until I get a answer. When do you go to the doctors? Oct. 8th I think you said. Im going to tell him I been going through this too long and I want ANSWERS NOW. LOL
Im so upset what jon 10 is saying go look on what he wrote. I think he has no respecr for Ladies. Im disgusted with him... Im so mad... I showed my husband he said he wishes he knew he was hes very upset...
Just take it one day at a time. You are almost there! I can't wait until October 8th!!!! He will probably send you for tests...but just hang in there!!! I'll be rooting for you!
I read Jon's post. Yes, he is in total denial about his condition. You have to forgive him because he has a disease...I hope he realizes it before its too late.
Ya, Ill hang in there Im going to a B-day party today this will keep off my mind. I woke up 3x last nite my bladder was about to explode. I have a feeling its something with my UT track. I just want to scream.
Ya I know Jon has a condition I just didnt like when he was calling the ladies and I those names I get upset. Im over it. People like that learn the hard way......
I think in Britain that "word" he used isn't intented the way it is here. I am not sure though...just ignore him...just feel sorry for him.
Hope you had a nice time at the party. I had a party today also. It is good to get out.
I ;hope the doctor can come to the bottom of why you are having such difficulties with your bladder. Did you also make an appt with your gyno again? First see what the urologist says. Have a great evening.
Bip: How was the party today? Did it take your mind off things a little?
Suzi is right - when people say things that are offensive, just try and ignore them. I personally have a very thick skin and it takes A LOT to offend me. What it eventually boils down to is if someone throws advice "back in someones face" and are RUDE about it then they are not at a point where they can get better and will eventually drive those that are willing to help away. Sad, isnt it?
BTW, did you ever get the safe-serve test results back or are you still waiting to here about that?
Suzi: How was your party? I hope it took your mind off your health worries - waiting until the 8th must be torture but remember, if you had anything serious you would have been admitted or seen straight away.
Folks, I am in no way making excuses for people who are rude and calling people names. But if you post on a public forum where there are no moderators watching it anything goes at times. Either "report" it or "ignore" it. If people get that upset over the "F" word they don't need to read public forums. Again, I'm not defending it or in favor of the "F" word, but keep in mind this board is not monitored which does not give people the right to be rude and use foul language, but not everybody is the same. Posters know this board is not monitored, and some posters just are not afraid, and definately don't care what you say until they get a warning from a moderator/site administrator. On other boards who are monitored they get one warning, and if he/she does it again they are kicked off permanently, and on some boards it even says underneath their screen name "why" they were kicked off. Some boards do not even give you a warning because it says in their rules and regs that no offensive language is allowed. If they didn't read the rules that is to bad, they are gone, permanently.
I think medhelp is tame compared to some political boards. You've no idea the trashing and language that is used, and sometimes the site administrators join in with the trashing and name calling, and if you don't like it they tell YOU to get lost.
I know this is a healthboard by the Cleveland Clinic, a respectable organization, and this stuff should not be allowed on here that is why I say either report it or ignore it.
We have enough problems with our anxiety and what if's we don't need to get upset about somebody with a lose tongue. I just ignore it. If he doesn't respect women so what? You know who you are that is all what matters.
Ya you are right on the button. We all should ignore it. I just got a little defended when he was saying those Nasty words but I moved out. Ya know This is a anxiety board to help people like you said we have enough problems with our anxiety.
I didn't want my post above get to long so I'm adding this now. When I said "everybody is different". Let me tell you what sets me off to the total max, seing red, and BP going up. Our newspaper and only rag in that city has a message board which is also NOT monitored. People on this message board can make comments and debate Letters to the Editor, any local or nationwide news, politics, religion, respond to columns and editorials, you name it, the typical stuff a daily newspaper prints and talks about. I understand people having different opinions, I do not understand why at times the name calling i.e. you must be an idiot, you're a moron, a bone head, the "F" word not spelled out and so on. I don't care for it, but I can let that roll off my back, BUT here comes the "grammar and spelling police". Adults correcting other adults and pointing out their grammar and spelling errors, I mean they take your post apart, copy and paste where the so called grammar and spelling errors are, and then in a way like you are in Elementary school and they are your teacher, they not only point out the grammar error, but explain to you "why" it shouldn't be done that way, and post the "correct" way how that sentence/sentences with the grammar errors should be posted. Same thing for spelling errors. I've seen where somebody mispelled ONE word and the spelling police took that word out and posted the "correct spelled" word next to it. This could've been a typo for crying out loud.
These are regular posters, not editors. If that was a board for example which had to do with school, business or learning i.e. "learning the English language, learning how to do your resume and cover letter, learning how to write the perfect business letter" and so on I could understand the grammar and spelling errors being pointed out, but on a newspaper message board where all kinds of topics are discussed what goes on in the world and locally and these high on their horse people are just waiting to correct peoples grammar and spelling, I don't think so. I let them have it. These "Einsteins" don't stop and think that English is the second language for some posters, that some posters English the way they post is the best they can do, and who are these "Einsteins" to mess with their self esteem?? And the way they go about it, so arrogant and so high on their horse.
I rather have a poster tell me f...you because I can let that roll off my back, I consider the source and the subject is closed for me, but arrogant, high on their horse grammar and spelling police sets me off, I can't stomach that.
There probably are people who would welcome to be corrected, but nobody on that board ever said a word, but me.
On another board, not our newspaper somebody makes tons of spelling mistakes. Maybe he/she is just typing fast I do not know. One poster said " it hurts my eyes to read your post ever heard of a spell check?", and the person responded with "I don't know how to use it", maybe he/she was telling the truth, maybe not, but something like that doesn't bother me at all, but to take your post apart, and lecture and explain to you what you have done wrong as in grammar and spelling, and then wanting to "teach" you why its wrong and how it should be posted the right away is totally over the top for me. I mean we are not in English class or in Elementary school here.
Like my husband said "if it bothers you that much then you need to stop going to that board, people will not change, if you go on a public message board, especially one which is not monitored you have to be ready to read all kinds of responses, including insults", and he said this grammar police were the ignorant idiots because an educated person would not do that to another adult, and it gives them they thrill for the day thinking they are at the height of their career when pointing out grammar and spelling errors to people, and think they done their job "educating" people because they have no job, and are sitting by the computer waiting to correct peoples grammar.
Yesterday was a very nice day. I am hanging in there. The mornings are the hardest for me. So once I make it through that first hour or two I am fine. Yes, waiting until Oct. 8th is hard, but I will have to do it. I have to learn to deal with things better and I find this to be practice. I feel fine so I keep telling myself that it can't be anything horrible. right?????? Hope everyone is doing well.
You are to yur strong. This is what is going on. Im going to see my urlogy weds. and thursday a 2sd opnion to a OBGYN and everything comes out good then I know its nothing. Im going to Lahey clinic they are the best. Im telling them everything cause Im sick of worrying..
I totally understand where you are coming from. As I said in my last post different people get offended/mad about different things. I get mad as hell about the "grammar police people" :) others probably roll their eyes and tell ME "just ignore it".
