Sweating More Than Usual Along with other things

I have been taking Sertraline for the past month, and I have been noticing that I sweat a lot easier.  I normally sweat during workouts, but a lot sooner than usual and i find myself sweating at random times of the day.  My pulse was 76 today at the docs and my blood pressure was 121/72, so is that normal or borderline of anything to worry about?  I have chest pains as well.  I have been experiencing chest pains for the past few months and i would say the past day it has been the worst, it just does not go away.  I had an x-ray and nothing showed up.  The specialist said that my chest pain is muscle spasm and knots in my outer pectoral, but can it really be this annoying?  I have massage therapy starting for this next week but im just worried of it being an issue with my lungs or my heart considering i find myself sweating rather easily.  Im sorry if i post often i just want to get some support...

Hi CJ40689,

The sweating could be caused by the meds that you are taking and sweating is also a classic symptom of anxiety. Sweating is a natural bolidy process and is vary rarely anything to worry about, however, speak to your doctor if you are concerned that it maybe something more.

Your pulse and blood pressure are absolutely perfect, it's the bottom figure that you have to watch put for and anything over 85 is mild hypertension, so as I say, yours if perfect!

Chest pain has many causes and the good thing is that it is not normally the heart that causes it, unfortunately its the first thing that we think of though as it is the most important thing in our chest if not our whole body. Heart pain never normally stays for prolonged periods either, I have been told by numerous doctors that if it is constant pain then it is not your heart, which is reassuring.

Give the massage therapy a go and see if that helps some with the pain, I know that it's a pain having to wait for these things but you will not drop dead by giving it a shot and it could be the wonder cure that you are after.

Try not to worry, I know that that is easier said then done but I am pretty sure that there is nothing seriously wrong with you but if symptoms persist then consult with your doctor, after all that is what they are there for.

Good luck with everything and I hope that this has helped in sme small way

Sam
