I was in the ER last week. I had bloodwork which was all normal. I had a gallbladder and liver ultrasound that was normal. I have to o or a Hidatsa scan on Wednesday. I am totally in the tank. My wife won't even look at me. I ruined our vacation and probably messed up everything forever. I just never feel well. I was put on Protonic and it was good for a fewl days and now it seems like I am constipated.
I went to my family doctor who said that I have gastritis. He felt different parts of my stomach and I had no pain. He said it is nt gallbladder that my colonoscopy and blood work whereby.excellent. He said to sty on Zantac and if I don't have relief that I can go to prevacid.
I agree it's time you seek professional help with this. Our anxiety makes us become fixated on something being wrong with our health when we're fine. This is common so know you're not alone. This obcession is very difficult to control on your own and you really can't control how you feel and worry without some help. You'll get your life back with some help. Good luck and keep us posted!
Going to doctors today. I am sick of worrying. My wife has given up omn me. I am hopefully going to Vegas on Memorial Day . My problem will be eating. I have a lot of stress on the job and with worrying about the colonoscopy, I think that I have bottomed out. My family won't even listen anymore and used to be the life the party.
Health anxiety is very common and the only way to get beyond this is to "accept" that you are healthy. A colonoscopy allows the docs to view your colon very closely, and if it was clear of polyps then you have nothing to worry about. The acid in your stomach may be GERD (acid reflux) and there is medication for this. You may want to have an Endoscopy so the doctor can look at your stomach and determine exactly what...if anything is going on. Stomach burning is common with acid reflux and ulcers... both are treatable.
You don't have the symptoms of anything serious being wrong, and by getting tested you are staying one step ahead of anything that may occur and can stop it in it's tracks. Your Gastroenterologist should have addressed the burning in your stomach and done and Endoscopy at the same time he did the colonoscopy. Talk to him about this so you can determine beyond doubt what is causing the burning, and then accept that you are fine...life is short, I don't want to see you worry it away. I hope this helps and wish you all the best.
