Hi there I am from England, I was on 15mgs of tranzene but they withdrew this of the market in 2006, can you still get it of your doctors without any problems? 15mgs of tranzene you would have to replace it with 15mgs of valium, if you were on 7.5mgs then it would be 7.5mgs of valium.
I would love you to keep me posted, how long have you been on tranxene? I was on it for over 30years so it was very hard for me to withdraw, but I must admitt I did it on only 5mgs of valium but I wouldent advice it. you need to be put on the same dosage of valium as you are taking of tranzene, and then slowley withdraw.
good luck,
Janis. reading again you are switching from valium to tranzene but the same applys

Actually the equivalent dose of 5mg valium is 7.5mg tranxene. I was taking between 10-15mg of valium per day so the doc put me on 7.5 tranxene 3 times a day even though last night I took a little less. I wouldn't think there would be any withdrawals but I don't know for sure. Going from valium to klonopin I didn't experience any, but going when I tried to go from valium to serax and ativan and xanax on different occasions I did experience withdrawals from valium which was kind of weird. I've tried them all out so I am hoping tranxene works-if not then I guess back to valium. Thanks for your input.

Does anyone know for sure though if I need to taper the valium or can I just switch right over to tranxene?
