update on Linden Method

So far what I have read and listened to is all about reprograming your mind by paying no mind to your symptoms.  He talks about a part of the brain that has been trained to have a high anxiety level, and you have to untrain it.  Of course he explains in great detail and there are visualization tapes and yoga type exercises.  It is a process that you must follow each day and constantly diverting your mind.  He makes a lot of sense...now I have to see how well it works...it will take me time to see if it works...I will keep you posted.  So far the visualization that I have done is great!  Haven't tried the exercised yet!  Hard to do with a 2 year old!!!

i can't even begin to tell you all how thankful i am for finding this site and all of your advice so far.  The biggest and best help for me that i have learned from what everyone is saying is to not let it get me - talking myself out of a panic attack, reprogramming what i am thinking is happening with what is really happening.  it worked x3 so far!  If i have had the same feelings for close to 20 years, and got through them, then i can keep getting through them and i am not going to die or go crazy from them- it only took this long to figure that one out!
But of course when you are in the throngs of a panic attack nothing is comforting!  thank you all so much!!

Good for you in taking steps toward an  anxiety-free life.  Keep me posted

I have a 2 yr old myself,  so that will be tough tor me as well.  But if it is going to help, I am all for it.  I have tried so many self-help books ie Lucinda Bassett.
they do not help, I think that I acquire some of the anxiety symptoms that I never had.

Keep me posted,

Lorrie
