I agree with JS on this one. Ensure that you talk to your doctor about this one. Also, talk to a therapist to understand your pattern of thinking with anxiety. I am a big proponent of medication COMBINED with therapy from a professional. Some people do not like meds (which is fine), but I found/find them a useful tool as long as you learn why these thoughts and sensations continue in the mind.
Of course they could. Please ask your doctor about it and let us know what he/she tells you. Understood about the strange idea of taking a pill for emotions. One way to get over it is to also get some therapy, so you can figure out what is making you have the strange feelings. If the therapy is successful, you may not need medication any longer. That's how it worked for me, and it might work for you.
