Is there an on campus counseling center? I went to a counselor when I was in college it seemed to at least help a little bit. And from what I remember it was free for students.
Hi Carmen.
Your condition warrants a very thorough investigation.
I read your other posts to get a better understanding.
Can you give me some additional background details?
Like family situation, parents health status, diet and nutrition, drug intake (if any) including birth control,
other tests and diagnoses, any activities and exercise,
and anything else you think may help.
Be as honest as possible. Nobody will judge you plus this forum is totally Anonymous!
It seems that many of your issues are inter-connected.
I'll be able to comment more after you post again with more background information.
Best wishes,
Niko
Look, there are no experts on this forum, just folks. One post on here purports to offer expertise, but we're just not. We can only talk from out own experiences. You obviously are having a very tough time and your anxiety also appears to be causing you to avoid seeking help. Anxiety sufferers are scared -- that's anxiety. We avoid. That's anxiety. It doesn't help, but it is easier. You need to get into therapy and it's possible if that doesn't help you might need medication. It sounds like you've been to doctors for this already, but if you haven't, there are physiological conditions that can cause anxiety and should be eliminated first to make sure it's a mental rather than a physical problem. Personally, I usually tell people that if there isn't a physiological problem, such as hormonal problems, thyroid problems, blood sugar problems, etc., it's best to see a psychologist who specializes in anxiety treatment, as most of them don't. If that doesn't work your therapist will recommend you see a psychiatrist for medication. There are other ways to approach this, such as a natural approach, but they do take time and professional guidance. All approaches have limitations, but waiting and hoping it's going to disappear at the level you have it now is probably in vain. You're at the age where anxiety and depression often break out. Hopefully your family can help with costs. But do something.
