Have I got anxiety or respiratory problems

Hi community! I'm new to this forum and I have been reading over a few posts from other seekers. Basically I don't know if I have anxiety/stress or have respiratory problems. 6 months ago I was given a puffer for breathing problems I had which I was getting once every few weeks. Now 6 months on the pain and depth of this breathing is a constant thing that happens on a daily basis sometimes just hard to breath and sometimes spike pain and hard to breath. I don't think I panic it just starts out of nowhere and all of a sudden il feel tight in the chest , I definitely get it once or twice a day for maybe 5-30 minutes at a time. I just tell myself I'm ok hold my chest and pretty much pray . I really haven't seen any specialist or anything but I did approach my gp and he ran a balloon test on me if anyone knows of that since he really didn't explain much ? And he also advised me to stop my puffer as this can cause higher palpitations with my heart, so now I don't take any medication nor any puffer I just go with it. My family has a history of high cholesterol and diabetes as well as cancer I'm 22 female and am very worried as this is not the only thing I got going on with me . I get re occurring pain all over my body different spots all the time and it will ache , mostly in my lower abdo I have had this pain ,for 5 months now this sometimes stop with volatren but sometimes can be so un bare able that I'm in agony. I have been to the ER recently had blood tests done as I was in for an acid stomach since then I changed my diet and I exercise 4 days a week. Someone please help it's ruining my life just thinking about it. I can't go out because I'm scared il get sick or something will happen, I am in and out of work seeing doctors I'm so fatigued which is draining my partner and I'm scared il loses him because of my sickness and overall just scared bad things will happen to me '! I do things and say things a certain way as I am scared if I do it another way il get **** which may sound so loopy right now .  Have I got anxiety ? Or respiratory problems ? Or a mystery illnessz? Pease help

Hello and welcome.  It definitely sounds like you have some anxiety issues going on...have you ever discussed that with your doctor, or asked for treatment options?

The abdominal pain could be a million things.  It doesnt sound like you were very thoroughly worked up for that.  I would recommend you asking your doc for a GI consult to see if a specialist may be able to find to cause of your pain.

The breathing symptoms very well could be anxiety related.  You don't necessarily have to feel anxious for a symptom to be related to anxiety...that's how your anxiety may be manifesting itself...as breathing difficulties.

You could also ask your doctor for a referral to a pulmonologist for more thorough testing, but you could also just start addressing the symptoms as anxiety...if the symptoms improve along with the anxiety, then you've pretty much figured it out.

Keep us updated, good luck!

Soes not sound respiratory. If it were the symptoms would be constant. However, the abdominal problem, if there is bloating, could press the diaphragm upward causing a temporary shortness of breath.
