Weird Sensations In The Body.

Hi everyone, I have been feeling unwell for a while now. It all started as pain in chest and going into my left arm, then had a funny weird burning, tingling sensation that went over my head and down my back into my bottom. Went into hospital they gave me a ecg which showed up as a minor block which dr's say alot of people have and nothing to worry about. Think sensations are due to nerves but didn't really know, sent me home. Had more weird burning, tingling, waving sensations in body, went into hospital said it;s due to stress. I don't believe that is true. The only worry I have is this weird feeling. Dr's are rubbish and will not listen. I now keep having pain in back, lower and middle with patchy burning feelings all over with tingle sensation, even in my tongue. How weird is that. Sometimes my bottom area burns then the burning goes up my back, my fingers and toes tingle The sensation can go over my head with bad headace too. Whats going on? Had blood tests done which were ok but dr's are doing more, They said I should might need to see a neurologist. Has anyone else felt like this? Am I just stressed or is there something wrong? why do dr's put everything down to stress if they don't understand what's going on. Hope someone can help. Feel like no one wants to listen.

Hi, you both are right maybe its all in my head, but it feels so real. I do panic alot I guess but never thought it could cause these type of feelings in my body. Scares the hell out of me. I will still see drs to rule anything serious out. Got togo back to drs for blood test results Thursday so will deff let you know. They are testing for thyroid, liver funtions, b12, ferritin and a few other things. Thanks for reading this and writing to me.

I would agree with their suggestion to see a neurologist to rule anything else out although anxiety disorder can cause a variety of physical problems that appear to be something else on occassion.

It sounds like the doctors are taking you seriously by ordering these tests, but the short answer to your question is anxiety can cause everything you are feeling in my opinion.  I was the EXACT same way...I could not believe the doctors were not finding the cause of my symptoms, when in fact it was do to stress and health anxiety. Remember, when we are nervous about our health we can become oversenstized and misinterpret many normal feelings as something catastrophic.  Have you had anxiety issues in the past?  Have you considered going to talk to someone about your anxiety/panic issus....gaining the knowledge about why you are suffereing from this, can really give you the power to confront it...keep us posted!
