As gentle has suggested, and very wisely, see your doctor to rule out anything organically wrong.
What you described can easily be equated to an episode of anxiety. It also has the same symptoms of an episode of low blood sugar.
Either way, a visit to your docs is recommended to put your mind at ease.
Until you can get in to see your doc, one thing you can try is to carry with you at all times a small bag with something like graham crackers or cheese or orange slices.....if you begin to feel one of these episodes coming on, try eating something and if that helps, I would strongly suspect low blood sugar as eating will do nothing for an anxiety attack. A bout of low blood sugar does not mean you have some horrible disease. It can happen to any of us if we haven't eaten and are under stress. It's just our bodies way of telling us it needs some fuel. But, check with your doc.
Let us know, OK?

Your episode sounds similiar to anxiety attacks I have had when I have been under extreme stressful situations in my life. When the hot flashe and faint feeling started to come on me years ago I did check with my Dr. to insure nothing else was wrong. It is very important you check things out with your Dr. I find that having water available to drink is very important for me.
Management of anxiety is a lot of work. If life seems to be getting out of control and you are experiencing more anxiety therapy is a good choice. I have received therapy for about one year and made a lot of progress. So take good care of yourself and come back to the forum often.
