anxiety??

Hi all!! It's been a while...I had to create a new username..I used to be worrydsik...I have always suffered from anxiety and had the worst bout of Health anxiety ever from OCT 2010 to about June 2011...I have been doing soo much better the past few months and have decided not to stay on medication..I was only on zoloft for the month of April...my question is...I find myself feeling like I have a heightened sense of paranoia..not only about one thing but I find if I think of something or am worried about something I suddenly can become fixated on it and really freak out over it..and become paranoid...its not like my general anxiety..I also feel like I'm losing trust in people close to me and for no reason...anyone understand or go through this???

I think, perhaps you should not have quit the Zoloft.  Obviously you need help whether it be meds or counseling.  Please realize there is help.  You have felt good before and at least you realize that these thoughts are not normal.  Before you jeopardize relationships and peace of mind, see a therapist.  Good luck.

I actually experienced that recently. I developed general anxiety after having a series of really bad panic attacks fueled by worry thoughts. It sounds like you are experiencing the same thing. I know it sounds hard but if you can find something to pull your focus onto (i talk to my mom or boyfriend about something that is opposite of the worry) that can help lower the worry feelings.
