What's the difference between Inderal & Xanax?

I have both Inderal and Xanax but only tried the Xanax and treat it like champagne...only when I really need it . However, I do have a prescription for Inderal and wondered what it is like.I still get panicky when I go for a run and wondered if it is the adrenalin kicking in, but if I take a Xanax to go running I am a bit heavy in the legs and slow. I want to combat this as it's spoiling my run and inducing panic. I wondered if the inderal would be better. I am also on 10mg of Buspar a day which is helping me.

I can tell you that Inderal is used for anxiety on an "as needed" basis which I believe Xanax is as well.  Inderal is often given to public speakers who get really nervous just prior to having to speak to a crowd.  It has many uses and anxiety is one of them.  Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable can tell you the difference between the two.  Take care.
