Can Anxiety Cause Dizziness Out Of The Blue??

For the past 6 weeks I have been experience dizziness on a daily basis.  It last anywhere from 15-60 min on avg.  It comes totally out of the blue.  I have anxiety/panic issues but the dizziness can/will strike when I'm totally relaxed, in a great mood and my heart is NOT racing when it happens.  I don't feel like I'm having a panic attack at all.  I just feel as if my head is deprived of blood or oxygen or both.  It's weird.  It seems to happen around the same time of day too, oddly.  I have checked and checked my BP...always normal.  My doc suspected hypoglycemia so I purchased a finger poking blood sugar kit to check, and again the levels are always very normal.  So it doesn't seem to be BP or blood sugar, though it does tend to happen after my 1st meal of the day, which is not a heavy meal and the same thing I've been eating for years.  I don't think my heart is in bad shape either.  I exercise regularly and am in decent to good shape.

So does anyone know if someone with phobias/panic problems alone can just bring these on even if you're not feeling anxiety at the time and have zero of the classic panic symptoms while it's happening?

I have had many episodes like what you describe.  They are caused by anxiety.

If you have a 'room spinning' sensation, I recommend seeing an ENT.
This is a different thing entirely from anxiety induced dizziness.

I live with an anxiety disorder...and take an anti anxiety med for condition.

Still...I may have those times when I get lightheaded and dizzy.  I excuse myself and go to restroom and breath or take a tablet....it does pass so I can drive.  Just an annoyance!

Do you have a doctor or have you consdered therapy?  There are lots of coping skills for social anxiety,

Well I don't think I have significant allergies.  My eyes are never watery, I don't sneeze, and I can tolerate any foods, HOWEVER my nose is often semi congested, esp in the mornings, but isn't that sort of normal??  It's rarely congested enough that I can't breath out of it (my nose).  Also this bizarre dizzy/light headedness strikes out of the clear blue sky.  I will literally be perfectly fine 1 second, then totally symptomatic the next second.  And when it starts it doesn't just fade away in 5 seconds.  I'll feel that way for 30-60 min at a time, on average.  What the hell?  Daily.  Before 6 weeks ago this never, ever happened.  Not even one time in all my 38 years of living.  My doc hasn't evaluated me but he tends to think I'd have other symptoms if it was ear related and/or would be experiencing the dizziness more constantly throughout the day.  I'm just stumped.

So anxiety/depression can make you feel this way?  Can you think you are happy/feeling fine but really have underlying anxiety/depression? I ask this because my dizziness can strike at times where I am happy and laughing with friends.  But like I said, once it starts, I'm doomed for 30-60 minutes.  Then it fades again.

If you have awful allergies and/or sinuses (like I do) it can cause dizziness. The constant weather changes around where I live have been horrible on my sinuses lately and I've been constantly dizzy. So it could be that.

But anxiety definitely causes dizziness as well.

Both anxiety and depression can cause dizziness. I'm wondering with you though if this may be allergies or ear problems. Did your Dr do an exam on your nose and ears?
