Wierd eye problems and fear.

For the last few months i have not been able to drive a car it fees like my brain isnt picking up on things as fast as they are coming at me. My vision feels off really bad. Also I constantly have fear for some reason. For instance if i see a shadow in my field of veiw and can't figure out what it is i freak out bit, or if there is a smell that is stuck in my nose i freak out. It is so much worse when i am driving it is like my mind is gonna stop working almost anyone have any hints for me or experienced this. I have been to multiple doctors and i have no relief. I am on xanax 1 mg 3 x daily and lexapro 10 mg which i just started.

You say you've seen multiple doctors, none of whom were able to diagnose your condition. Have you seen an EENT? Had an MRI of your brain?
Did something happen a month ago when this all began? That these symptoms are bad enough you've had to give up driving and live in "constant fear," is, in my humble opinion, totally unaccetptable, and the doctors you've seen should not give up on trying to figure this out.
If the doctors feel they have exhausted every possible specialist to send you to, then your next step should be to get in front of a good psychiatrist and see if these issues are tied into a psychological cause. Please know that there isn't one of us here who think you're "crazy," or imagining these things. Anxiety/panic and depression can play some very nasty tricks on us. There is absolutely no shame in talking to a p-doc. That stigma, thank God, is quicly fading. I wish I could have been of more help. You've done about as much as you can with the medical doctors, time to explore other possibilities.
I'm sure there is a logical explanation for this, you just need to find the doctor who can figure it out.
I believe you'll be fine, but don't put this on the back burner. The sooner you get help, the sooner you'll get your life back.
I wish you the very best and hope you keep us posted, OK?
If you need to talk, we're always here.

Keep in mind that psychiatrists are also medical doctors and if he/she thinks there is something physically going on, they will send you for tests.

I go thru this with my vision all the time....I always feel like when I go to the eye dr and they put the drops in to dilate your eyes.....it drives me crazy but I think even that is anxiety....when the adrenaline gets to flowing it makes us aware of everything and the blood flows  to all parts of our body even the eyes to make us more aware....even if there is no problem at all....it feels horrible I know but it just more irratating than anything else...since you just starte the lexapro it will probably take about 4 to 8 weeks to reach its peak in your system and maybe by then your anxiety will be more under control....just try to hang in there till the lexapro has timeto take effect...I hope and pray things work out well for you...keep us posted ok...

God Bless,
