am i going crazy

I have had anxiety problems for going on 2 years now, I find it difficult sometimes to even get threw the day. I have tried lexapro and zoloft and they both seem to make my anxiety worse. I have it the worst when i am in college classes or at work. I have been having pressure on both side of my head, not pain just pressure and slight disoriantion of dizziness. Everyone thinks that it is either sinuses or stress. Am i going crazy, because i can't stop thinking about it and i think i am making it worse.

Those are tension headaches.  I suffered with them for 6 months straight until I started on paxil and back then I was on Depakote.  I understand that slight dizzy, preasure, lightheadedness..  Unless you experience it, your can't understand it!  The fact that you get it at work and in school I feel it is because they are situations where you are confined and can't just "escape" if you need to.  I am not on Depakote any more but I am on buspar which is suppose to help with anxiety and other ssri drugs to make them more effective....ask your doctor to try a different med or add something.  I hate to push meds, but whatever you need to get you through right now and finish up school and function in your life is important.

PS:  focusing on it (which is hard not to do) will make it worse...it just increases your anxiety.  I wish you well.

These are definitely stress headaches.  Sinus headaches closely resemble tension headaches.  Usually a tension headache will give you pain on both sides of the head close to the rear and up the sides.  This is where the muscles go up from your neck into your head.  Stress can also cause vision problems i.e., seeing trails.  Stress can also cause tinitis (ringing in the ears)  While I am prettry sure of these things, you still should see a doctor to have serious physical causes ruled out.  However, young adults college age and young married couples seem to suffer from these ailments more than anyone else because there is a lot of stress associated with going to college, growing up, and having all of the responsibilities shoved on you that you never had when you were younger.

Don't let anyone tell you that it is only nerves, get over it. That is easy to say, but stress and anxiety can cause more problems than some physiological problems.  Usually if a problem is physical it is also easily treatable.  See a doctor and get some Xanax.  That will get you through it as long as you don't abuse it.

Good Luck
