JUST STARTED TO TAKE BUPROPION SR 150MG TO STOP SMOKING AND IT HAS MADE ME FEEL DIZZY ALL DAY. WILL THIS GO AWAY THE MORE I TAKE IT? OR WILL I FEEL LIKE THIS EVERYDAY?

I started to take this a little more then a month ago to stop smoking too. Started with one everyday then was told to take 2 a day (am and pm) After I started taking the 2 a day I started to feel this brain fog on day 2. I feel disoriented, hard to focus, lightheaded, my memory is off and I feel like I can not have a normal conversation. I feel like I'm high, drunk or in a dream and this is 24/7. On day 3 I stopped taking it because I didn't like how it was making me feel. Well, here I am a month later and still feel this way. No better at all and its still 24/7.

Now, I do NOT feel dizzy. I thought I did but after some research I know now its more brain fog then anything.

Talked to the doc and she told me at first to wait until it had left my system and this might just be it but after 2 weeks it was the same. Went in to see her and she found liquid in my ears and thought that maybe that was it. Gave me some nasal spray and sudafed every 12 hours. Well I have been taking this for a week and still no change. She did tell me that the next thing she was going to look at is anxiety. I have to see her on June 5 but I left her a message today for her to call me. I CAN NOT wait another week like this. Lets see what she says. I also have not been able to get into any psychiatrist until June 21. Almost a month away! Some were even full until mid July.

I am very regretful of taking this medicine for the smoking now.

You might want to try posting in the depression forum.  This med is a stimulating anti-depressant, not usually used as a primary tool for anxiety.  I suppose there must be some research showing it helps people quit smoking, but it seems like taking a drug to quit a drug is a bit odd, especially this one, which can cause anxiety.  Stopping nicotine usually makes people nervous, and this can make people more nervous.  But what do I know?
