Can't take a good breath

Hey everyone, for the past three weeks I have been experiencing this weird short of breath sensation. It is like when I try to inhale, I get cut off from my breath and cant finish it. Its like my lungs are completely full but its not satisfying and I still feel like I need to take a deep breath. I also have been experienceing ringing in m ears all day, flashes, and really long after images. I dont know if this is anxiety or not. I was diagnoised with OCD when I was 17 but this does not feel like anxiety. any thoughts?

Hey thanks for your replay!!! It is nice to kbow other people get what im going through. Im just also really freaked out about the ringing in my eyes and the random flashes of light I see all day.

"air hunger" is definitely anxiety related. That's what kick started me into this whole vicious anxiety cycle of mine. I had the feeling that my breaths were not deep or satisfying enough. That led me to having a panic attack and I had to take a trip to the ER because I was convinced that something was wrong and that I was gonna stop breathing all together. I was given breathing treatments and xrays which all came back good. I was prescribed an inhaler but that really didn't help the feeling. It's a struggle but every now and again I still deal with it. I know what you are going through. Best advice I can give is to try not to concentrate on your breathing too much. When you think about it too much you worry if you are doing it right or not.
