Anxiety will raise your blood pressure ie white coat hypertension. That reading is one point in time. Doctor's don't diagnose high blood pressure after one reading for that reason, you need 3 high readings in a row.
Even if you did have mild hypertension, which you most likely don't, it's not the end of the world, that's your distorted view taking hold.
You need to get some help from a trusted doctor. Take their advice and be completely up front with them.
You are only 20 and you need to enjoy this life you have, and love and accept the person you are, anxiety and all.
Of course you don't need to take SSRI's for the rest of your life, but you may find you want to if they help. A life lived in fear is a life half lived.
good luck.
130/90 is a little high, and you should probably get a med for high blood pressure. It is not high enough to worry about, that will only raise your bp even more. Blood pressure is easily treatable.
Relax and good luck
If you are really having suicidal thoughts over something this minor, then your problem is more mental, and you need to see someone like a therapist to help you with your obsessive worry about this.
A lot of people take them, but you have to be very careful with the ssri's. Quite a few people have terrible reaction to them. I took just two and had a nervous condition for two months
You need a good therapist first and foremost. To want to kill yourself so you won't have to take antidepressants? To want to die because you have VERY mildly elevated blood pressure?
I feel badly for you. You are not thinking rationally at this point. I urge you to confide in a trusted family member or friend, or to call a suicide prevention hotline immediately.
I hope you find some help, my friend. You have a lot of living left to do yet.
is it real ?!!
i dont have to take anti anxiety medication for ever .. ?!!
is it just taking them for few months and thats it ?!!
i do have anxiety .. and all what iam complaining of is it's physical symptoms ..i told to be on SSRIs but i didnt take them .. coz i just was fighting the idea that i shouldbe on those med for the rest of my life.. (and iam only 20)
130/90 is not high blood pressure in an adult. Get your doctor to explain your blood pressure to you again.
