What Do You Tell Yourself

I am working hard on cognitive therapy and unfortunately my therapist...well lets just say her CBT skills are poor!

One of my, and I know most anxiety people triggers is when we get a physical or medical symptoms and we follow it with fear. I also know that many of our members have multiple medical challenges so they have lots of symptoms to contend with.

So you are sitting there and WHAM !! a symptom appears. What do you use as a self-talk statement to stop the second fear.

paniccenter dot net is a website i have found recently that may prove useful
there is nomembership fee, no strings attached and it uses CBT principles, workdheets, etc
the members and the health experts there are extremely friendly, supportive and knowledgeable.

I know what you mean hun. First I'm new to anxiety and I mean that it just started this past december.  I now am trying tokeep my thoughts at a min. I just keep telling myself I'm fine I'm fine I'm fine.. And some times it help and sometime I just have to ignore the symptom.. I also found this word game called words with friends in my app store if you have an andros out smart phone you could download it and play with real people the thing that helps is that your mind is so focused on finding words you forget about the symptom may found crazy but hey for me first anxiety is crazy enough and also its a mind thing. Hope you get better hun..
