I have the same symptoms and have been to the dr and had blood tests etc., and he has put it down to anxiety because I dont have any syptoms of anything else, the more you think about it the worse it is, when I am busy or out and about you can forget about it and you suddenly think 'oh its gone now' but when you sit down or get anxious its there again. The doc asked me if it woke me during the night and if it got worse when I bent down or coughed etc., guess he was thinking about something in my head! He said that this tingling etc was extremely common and there were thousands of reasons for it, all very difficult to determine. I have to go back if I start having any different symptoms. I have been suffering from very bad stress for a few years now so I suppose the body has to react somehow, maybe its excess adrenaline!!
This site is wonderful so keep in touch we are all here for each other.
i have seen my doctor, i've had alot of test done. mri, ekg, stress test ,bloodwork you name it.all came back normal. i just didn't know if anxiety could cause you to have smptoms on one side. i've been under alot of stress lately ,i know over time stress and anxiety can do alot to you body.sometimes it seems like there is no end to the anxiety. i wan't to thank you for your reply.
Anxiety can do such wonderful things to a body. But to be real sure, you should see your dr. and let him or her help with coming to a decision.
Sometimes when your just sitting there and these feelings happen, you start to dwell and dwell some more until you have yourself convinced that it's something catastrophic.
That's where your dr. steps in to ease your mind.
Good luck, and stay in touch on here, there are so many good people on here that can help you.
i am convinced they can...i have had numbness/tingling/heavy feeling on left side of body (off and on) for 2 years....get it in my left foot, arm, hand, neck and face...ALL on left side...have had NUMEROUS tests done...i AM hypothyroid but i dont think thats causing the left sided symptoms...i went to reumatologist yesterday...did some bloodwork and put me on lyrica...said i had fibromyalgia...but I am convinced it ALL stems from anxiety!! just a little advice to ya...the more i THINK about the left sided symptoms the worse they get...if i am busy i dont notice them so much...thats why i think that its mainly anxiety!!
