I believe it can,,I recently posted a question on the Mental Health forum and the doctor that replied to me had this to say; "when you have a panic attack you have a lot of stress hormones operating, shifting the blood from one part of your body to the other"
I hope this helps..
Well if it switches sides then you should really consider that what you have is "only" anxiety. ("only"....haha!)
These symptoms manifest themselves thanks to our hypersensitive, overly worrisome minds. For me, it started with numbness in my left (or right arm)...then I would scan the rest of my body for whatever else felt irregular. By the time I was done, an itch in my left toes had transformed into full numbness in my left arm, numbness in the left side of my lower lip, sharps pains in my left leg, etc. etc. We are tricking ourselves into having this symptoms because we are looking for them! A "normal" person would have shrugged it off as an itchy toe, but we end up in the E.R. because we just can't leave it at that. We think there has to be some fatal root cause for the "itchy toe".
I have gotten symptoms on one side...more of an achy, heavy feeling though
i get numbness on one side of the face and my arm.and the next day i will get it on the other side.
What kind of symptoms?
I think you'll find that most people here do experience symptoms more on the left side, things like tingles, numbness, pain. This is why a lot of us fear we are having a heart attack or stroke when we have a really bad panic/anxiety attack.
