anyone who will listen

I am currently on 20mg of paxil, and my therapist is now trying to wein me from...
20mg of paxil with 10mg of celexa first week
10mg of paxil with 20mg of celexa second week
20mg of celexa alone the third week with no paxil.
Has anyone else done this? I am very nervous an need support, I have been on paxil for about 8 years an it seems to be taking a toll on my body now that im not liking. I feel so lost an alone...

I completely agree with Greenlydia. I also was on Paxil for years and it started to cause problems for me too. I went off it very slowly, much slower that what your Dr is wanting you to do. We're here to support you.  Remar

After being on Paxil for 8 YEARS, it's my humble and non-medical opinion that your therapist is trying to wean you WAY too fast. Two weeks is just about on par with cold turkey.
I would find a PMM, Psychiatrict Medication Manager, and have them withdraw you. This is what they are trained to do, to slowly, carefully, correctly and comfortably w/d you from psychotropic medications. Call your local Physcian Hotline and ask for a referral.
I'd also contemplate finding a new therapist.

Instead of trying to medicate you, your therapist should get to the root of the problem.
