Can Anxiety Cause Your Eyelid to Twitch?

Lately, I've noticed my right eyelid twitching every now and then.  Also, when i close my eyes, my right eyelid gets kinda stuck so it looks kinda goofy that it's wierdly stuck near the top.  Can anxiety cause this?  My girlfriend told me that stress can cause this.  Also, I find my eyes more sensitive to light.  Does anyone else feel like that?

My eye brow is twitching on and off with varied amplitudes. Yesterday it was twitching whole day and today it was not there till late evening. I was thinking about it whole day what if it would appear now and it started again. I am scared

Yes, I have this problem now and again. Eye twiching and lip twiching. It comes and goes. It will pass. I have not expired yet from these symptoms. I just recognize it for what it is and move on. Welcome to the the twitcher club..Hang in there!

mine has been doing it for 40 years on and off and i have anxiety. one time mine did it for 4 months 24 hours a day it never stoped.. then one day it just stoped. it still happens all the time.

Yeah, sometimes I think anxiety can cause all kinds of wacky things to happen. But lets not get ahead of ourselves, here. After all, there are plenty of anxiety sufferers who could only WISH the problem was a twitching eyelid or a pulsating belly-button, a nervous cough, flatulence in enclosed spaces or some other noisome physical attribute. So, for right now, just make a mental note about it and consider yourself fortunate for the symptoms you DON'T have, such as abject terror of going to town. As I said, make a note and stay on a modest state of alert for anything ELSE. Otherwise, enjoy life.

my eyelid twitches quite a lot i dunno if anxiety can cause this but i know that tiredness can cause it, which is related to anxiety and stress.
