hiv test anxiety

I am a heterosexual male and had sex about 6x w/ a woman on vacation from China. Unfortunately, I did not have her tested 1st and had reciprocal oral sex several times(no protection) we used condoms but I stupidly inserted into her vagina 1/2 way w/o condom(2 sec), I then pulled-out thinking "that was stupid". I am so freaked out. I got a sore throat and have been experiencing stomach nausea, difficulty breathing, and chest-pains. Typical malaise symptoms w/ some muscle aches. I am super-frightened. I had the Nucleic Acid Test done but am awaiting results. Suicide has entered my mind so much it is ridiculous. I am scared because of tainted blood banks in China, and many prostitution possibilities making her ex-husband in China a possible increase of her being positive. Please help. There is a possibility I contracted hepatitis as well.

Not much we can do other than wait it out with you and hope and pray for the best. You may possibly take some reassurance from the fact tah MOST of the time, nothing happens. And those symptoms -you could been harboring a cold or flue buy anyway, or picked it up from her -or from that nasty phone in your room -or wherever.

For now, get in front of a doc and tell him/her the WHOLE story. Get the tests, and the treatments if any are indicated.

If this happened while you were already in a committed relationship, there are OTHER possible issues relating to psychological dimensions. What's the story there?

All I can say is try to relax.  I know that is much easier said than done, but what you describe is that you have low chance of contracting it even IF she was positve about it.  If you read the expert forum about HIV Provention, I believe the doctors say that you only have a 1 in 2000 chance of contracting it IF she was positive which chances are she is not.  I am not a doctor, but if that happened to me, I would be nervous, but I would also understand that the odds are EXTREMELY in my favor.  Have you posted this question on the HIV Prevention Forum...there are alot of knowledgeable people over there that know about this type of question.
