Anxiety or arrythmia sesnations?

For the past two years, I have been experiencing really bad surges, not sure else how to label them as.  Could this be anxiety attack, in a severe form.  Usually anything physically exerting brings these "surges" on, the worst being intimate with my spouse.  Here's what happens, can anyone relate?
Immediately following a physical stressor, I feel suddenly weak.  Then I get sort of a buzzing/rushing sesnation through my body and I can feel the surge coming on.  My heart starts racing and I feel like I have to vomit and then I start to shake with chills.  I also get very sweaty and feel like I'm about to die. It takes about two hours to recover from a surge and a day or two to feel somewhat normal again.

I also get "mini" versions of this surge everyday from just doing little things like scrubbing our daughters toys or walking up the stais too fast.

Does this sounds like anxiety attacks that are being triggered by physical exertion?

I have similar symptoms to yours. I have arrythmias, or what feels like arrythmias- little "thumps" that seem to bounce all over my chest and even into my lower abdomen sometimes.

I've been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which can apparently cause all manner of symptoms that are easily mistaken for anything from simple exaustion to a heart attack. I have a problem with "surges" of energy and tiredness. Sometimes I'll be extremely energetic and restless, often going nearly 24 hours without sleep. Other times, I can't seem to drag myself out of bed for anything.

You might have a look into CFS, and see if you find any answers there. There's a forum here on MedHelp for that, and Wikipedia has a great article on CFS as well.

a lot of what you described is what i am going through.  i was severly stressed 2005 and it had an effect on my heart, i was having palpitations pretty bad.  but after taking a year off from work to try and get things under control, i found i am still suffering from these funny arrythmia feelings and "surges" that you talk about.  for the past couple of nites i wake up feeling as if my heart is speeding up slowing down but after checking pulse and blood pressure everything registers normal.  i got it so bad one night i was contemplating calling 911.  i also take klonopin .5 2xdaily but haven't for the past week, so maybe that's what it is withdrawal, but you are not alone...

Also, no I'm not thinking about anything as it just comes on immediately after physical activity, so I'm so busy doing whatever and it just stops me in my tracks and so on.  I also frequently wake up with surges in the morning and hadn't been dreaming a bad dream or anything , just usually about 5 minutes as I lay there waking up it slowly starts to surge through me.

I'm sorry, I didn't explain more.  I'm 33 and yes, I've followed with a cardiologist for a while, but he doesn't seem to understand these surges and just tells me to cope with them however best I can.  The worst part is the weakness as I just can't even sit up do to how severe the weakness my body has at that time.

I am not sure how old you are, but when I was looking at these weird electrical sensations I stumbled across a menopause site. I am only 27 so I know it wasnt that. Anyway, is it possible to be starting your change?

I had seen that you said you had a daughter, so you are probably not old enough to have this. It was just the first thing that came to mind. Are you nervous or thinking about anything else when you are doing these small things? Have you ever talked with your doc about it?
