change of meds. Luvox - Cipralex

alright, so i went to the doctors yesterday because my anxiety has been really bad latley.
my doctor decided to put me on a new anti - depressent. im currently on Luvox which i've been on for about 9 years now, and he's weaning me off of that to half of my normal dose for ten days, then he's putting me on 10 mg of Cipralex (the new one he's put me on) while still taking the half of Luvox, then after a week im going completley off the Luvox and then taking 20 mg of Cipralex.
im extremmmmmmmmmly scared for this process. im scared of withdrawl (withdrawal).
and the effect of the new medication Cipralex.
i could use some reasurance (:
and imput about anybody currently on Cipralex or has been on it before.
